11 and 12's have a play-in
This misunderstanding of the play in games seems common.
Oops my bad.11/12 play-ins are reserved for the final at-large bids.
Actually 12We're not going to be a play-in if we win the conference tourney. That would mean being a 16-seed, and those are reserved for the smallest, weakest conferences (despite the AAC bashing that occurs here, we are not at the MEAC/SWAC level).
since when does a 12 seed participate in play-ins? or is it 12 seed at large teams that play -in?12 seed. Play-in rounds maybe.
Oops my bad x2.since when does a 12 seed participate in play-ins?
just looked it up thanks, deleted my post so i don't look like a jackwagon11/12 play-ins are reserved for the final at-large bids.
Frankly we don't care if we're a 16 playing Kentucky in the first roundIf we run the table, probably an 11 seed. (If that profile had to be considered for an at-large -- which obviously we would avoid in this scenario -- we'd barely avoid a play-in game.)
If we lose the next two games and then win the AACT, probably a 13 seed.
If we win 4 in a row and then lose in the AACT finals, we're a 1 seed...in the NIT.
