Zags showed tons of heart in coming back but just couldn't get off a last second game tying 3. Khalif Battle crying breaks my heart.
Gonzaga's streak of 9 consecutive Sweet 16 trips comes to and end which was the longest such streak in the nation. Now Houston has that longest streak of 6 trips to the Sweet 16.

Who do we pull for in this tourney now with the BE gone and our 50 foot giant of a game in front of us? Dusty & Michigan is one team, but might I say I think Mick & UCLA might be another? I cannot pull for the SEC, hard for me to with the B12 until they kick us an invite.
Don't hold your breath

I flattered myself by thinking I was as anti-Big East as the next person, but wow, I was wrong.

UConn is coming off back-to-back titles.

Marquette is coming off back-to-back incredible years by post-McGuire standards.

Creighton is not a top-top program, but they have won a tournament game five consecutive years (won -- UConn has now made the tourney five years in a row twice). They aren't going to the second week every single year.

Pitino has only been on the job two years and look where they are already.

Villanova finally got rid of the dead weight. They will be back (but I doubt it is a title next year, so relax).

The Big East does not have the NIL money of these other leagues so there are going to be ups and downs (well, UConn kind of selected the "down" year by taking a long view and not bringing in transfers over recruits, which didn't work year one but led to 3 McDonald All Americans opting for UConn so long term it might be the correct move). It just turns out that the downs all happened in the same year.

I should also add: After UConn completes the 3-peat the Big East record is going to be 9-4. Not too shabby.

If (and it's still an if) Florida beats us, then I want them to go all the way and demolish the competition. Especially if they meet Duke.

You root for UConn. Until you can't. Duh.
Oh I am, just thinking ahead. This is going to be such a chalk no cinderella tourney that I'm trying to figure out what is going to make this interesting into the S16.

I'm getting a bit tired of the exaggeration of the task at hand. 50 foot giant? It's maybe 47 feet, 48 at best.

This is the most boring tourney I can remember in a long time.
Predictable finishes, lots of fouls, few huge upsets so far.

I hope we can mix it up by knocking off a top seed tomorrow.

Again, UConn from the tiny non-football conference is going to be Cinderella. America is going to love us and Danny will be the most popular name given to newborns in 2025 (including a non-significant number of Dani's).

who said anything about shutting down the AD? what are you even talking about

When you spew as much nonsense as you do it is hard to piece together any coherent thoughts out of your posts, but my characterization of your position is directionally accurate.

Claiming that an elevator moving from the ground floor to the fifth floor is heading to outer space is directionally accurate. It also isn't remotely close to being correct.

In a 1-and-1 situation, foul any player that is under an 80% FT shooter. Don't let them run the clock out.
We made this mistake against SJU at home. We should have extended the game, especially because Kadari was still in it and he would have had to shoot facing the student section.

BYU beats Wiscy 91-89. Finally a game that came down to a last second shot attempt.

Heck, finally the B1G loses a game in this tourney.
I believe the Michigan UC San Diego game had last second three point shot attempt on Thursday. But drama has been mostly nonexistent this year.

Came to post the same. We were awful that game and thoroughly outplayed.
What helped the Joeseys a little bit was that they ran so much of their offense through their big man, and it took away some of the advantage we had with Bazz and Boat harassing guards on the perimeter. That was the one round where we couldn’t get stops most of the night.

This is really bad for the Big East. I don't know why people are celebrating this.
It blows up our bracket a bit. If we do somehow get by Florida, we get a regional with (probably) Maryland, Texas Tech and Arkansas

Considering UConn has won 13 straight tournament games, it is truly remarkable how many people discount the possibility of UConn winning a 14th straight victory. They might not believe in the mojo, but the mojo certainly believes in them.

If EVER pot calling the kettle black was appropriate, this would be the time
