NCAA Tournament, Rd 3 - Thursday

I wish the Thursday late window games were split up, I'm far more interested in those(on paper) than I am the early window

I expect us to have a similar game plan as we had with Dent. Make him turn into a scorer.

Something that I haven't heard a lot of people talk about in terms of keys is pace of this game. I think if this game is in the halfcourt, I'll take my chances. We don't want to get into a track meet with this team.

I was pulling for Houston to make the Sweet 16 only for the purpose of being the team to knock off Florida. I don't want another team winning 2 titles back to back unless it UConn again in the future. I really didn't want Florida winning back to back immediately after UConn. Iowa's win against Florida gave me a nice inner peace to watching the South region. I look forward to the atmosphere in Houston with Nebraska being the de facto home team in the early window. Nebraska fans will show up in droves there. Of course Houston will be the home team in the last window as they are only 2.5 miles from their campus. Illinois playing UConn at MSG might be good practice against their game against Houston in terms of playing an OOC game where most of the fans are pulling for the other team. Stylistically UConn and Houston are very different.

It always feels a little strange having that sentiment. With the Calhoun teams between 1990-2006 UConn's opponents would have this sentiment about getting into a track meet against UConn.

This weaver kid for Texas is killing them - bouncing balls off his feet, missing threes.

But Texas is playing tough - has a really good trio in their 5, Swain and Marks. Hook em.

Was absolutely no need for it, but not sure he knew where was a defender behind him.

Not sure why Swain isn't looking for his shot. Not playing well on either side so far, giving up threes to Loyer.

LOT'S of B10 on right now.
 
Nebraska seems to be clearly the better team in the Corn Bowl.

Texas has some athletes, but they leave a lot of points on the floor. Too many wasted possessions against a team this good.

They need their big to stay on the floor. The 3 fouls are concerning. Swain and Marks can keep Purdue busy.

Did realize ex BM and Clingan posterize Heide is on Texas.

It may come back to bite UT as Mark has been their primary scorer and that one looked pretty bad. Even if he can play through this one, likely hampers him if they win in next game. Kid is limping and gutting this one out.

Weaver is terrible.

Disagree, Purdue guy jumped out and put his foot under Marks landing spot.

Prdue playing so dirty. All they do is hook and hold and get the foul called on Texas.
