How did a Vanderbilt team that was this bad defensively win 8 games in the SEC?

Fun fact: SMC played 2 bigs for the whole second half, making up a 12 point halftime deficit, in part because SMC got better looks from 3. Which poster on this board has been saying that since Carlton and Whaley were on the team?
I’m eager to dance on the sec’s tourney grave but only 2 sec teams that were the lower seed (Missouri & Miss St) have lost and the latter was an 8/9 game.

Arkansas was the higher seed and won. So In the aggregate theyre only one result below expectations

Yup, what the announcer said... No matter how great you are at comebacks, you can't succeed at that all the time.

I know that they probably weren't paying attention but I hope the guys took something from the carolina game and that is you can't play for 15-20 minutes in the tournament you have to play hard from the tip or 3lse you are going home.

Marquette looks a little tight early. The shooting is off, but worse, a few uncharacteristic defensive errors.

Hopefully Clayton gets very very sore by hitting too many 3s, obviously the least of our worries right now.

Nice little run for Norfolk St before the half. Signs of life.

Make sure to take note of future UConn starting PG Donovan Dent against Marquette tonight

I have always like Gold on Marquette. He isn't much of an athlete, but he can shoot, and you can't teach height.
