"the university must return money received through conference revenue sharing for its appearances in the 2012 to 2015 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championships."

Interesting note on the money U of L must return -- much of it was left with Big East and AAC as exit fees.

So since it didn't actually receive them, will 'ville argue that there is nothing to return?

Louisville avoids postseason ban for sex scandal.
Jeff Goodman reacts to the NCAA accepting Louisville's postseason ban from two seasons ago, thus avoiding any additional postseason bans.

No I'm sure they'll just force UConn and the rest of the BE to AAC to pay the NCAA. Thus proving that no matter what happens in the NCAA, UConn gets screwed.

By all appearances, and from my background, it looks to me as if the 2012 Final Four and 2013 championship will be vacated. BUT ...

Eric Crawford‏@ericcrawford 24m 24 minutes ago
U of L will have to determine what players are involved, and within 45 days say which wins are vacated.

Eric Crawford@ericcrawford 28m 28 minutes ago
U of L also must return money received for the 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 NCAA Tournaments.

I'm sure this only refers to Louisville's slice of the pie.

Vacating a championship is pretty harsh, and hard to do in reality.

I mean, technically they did receive the money, right? They just spent it on leaving the AAC. So they'll just have to pay again I would imagine.

Anyone want to bet that nobody who played in those final fours was at any of the hooker parties?
Russ Smith was mentioned A LOT by the hookers. He may have scored a few points for that 2013 team. I think Terry Rozier was involved as a high schooler as well.

Of course they will... Louisville will appeal NCAA penalties

>>The entire U of L community is saddened by what took place. It never should have happened, and that is why the school acted to severely penalize itself in 2016. Today, however, the NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions went beyond what we consider to be fair and reasonable. We intend to appeal all aspects of the penalties.

The person responsible for these activities, Andre McGee, long ago left the university, and he has yet to cooperate with investigating officials. We are disappointed that he was not cooperative.

In contrast, UofL did cooperate. We wanted the NCAA Enforcement Staff to uncover what happened. We have been open and transparent throughout this process.

The NCAA knew how seriously the university treated this matter from the beginning. Once we had the facts and recognized what took place, we did the right thing by taking responsibility and imposing severe penalties on ourselves. We believe the penalties imposed today are unfair to the UofL community and our current and former student-athletes, many of whom have already paid a heavy price for actions that did not involve them. This ruling is also unfair to Coach Pitino, who we believe could not have known about the illicit activities.<<

And if you're willing to swallow this load of BS, we have some swamp land to show you in south Florida.

Forget about the game suspensions. The first order of business should be requiring him to have that tat burned off. That will make it tougher for the hookers to identify him next time around.

"a vacation of basketball records in which student-athletes competed while ineligible from December 2010 and July 2014."
Vacation (transitive verb) - to declare or make legally void or invalid, to require burning Slick Rick's related tat off of his sleazy back
