Check ESPN website (of all places) for article re : this. Only UNC remains alive out of 9 teams invited. (God knows where they would be without fake classes.) As an added bonus, NIT #1 seed, Syracuse, has also been bounced from that tournament.

Great job, ACC! Go and collectively yourselves!

Yes, this year we stink, last year we were underrated.

Based on some of the calls and non calls in that game, I don't think luck had anything to do with it.

Of course the ACC is overrated. Always has been. During the height of the Big East, UConn, Syracuse, Notre Dame, Georgetown, Nova, Cincy, WVA, Louisville, and Pitt were all ranked or close to ranked national players. That's 2/3 of the league. At best, the ACC was Puke and UNC and all the little munchkins. Maybe one other would surface once in a while. Still after raiding the BE, Puke, UNC, Syracuse, Louisville, Notre Dame and, this year, maybe FSU and UVA have shown to be pretty good. (Well, Cuse is a push.) That's less than half. The ACC is probably the best league in the country now, but it's only because of the raid, and it's still not as good as the Big East was.

looking at that list of Big East schools *sigh* now that was a schedule. Don't forget too that Marquette and Providence had their good teams too.

ACC totally overrated, but that's what ESPN gets you nowadays... Promotion of their own product to perpetuate the perception that ACC is King. Still -- even for Big East and reminiscing about the 11 teams we got back in 2011: All but Marquette and UCONN out by sweet 16. And only UCONN into the elite 8. If UNC wins National Championship, people will forget the 1st weekend disaster that ACC put on, as they have with the 2011 Big East performance....
