NCAA Division I Council Recommends Interim NIL Policy, Effective July 1

Today The NCAA Division I Council recommended an interim NIL policy, largely in line with the proposal made by 6 D-I conferences late last week, essentially permitting NIL legislation in states that have adopted such policies to be in force and allowing individual schools in states without legislation to enact their own policies. The NCAA Board of Governors is expected to adopt the policy this Wednesday, less than 24 hours before 7 or more state regulations go into effect on July 1.
