This is a rather easy one. As Geno said, 2002 had Diana Taurasi and 2000 didn't. Plus 2 years of additional experience SR vs So for the Big 4. 2002 would win this game by 10 points.

I agree with team 2002, but I think the 2001 team was possibly the best UCONN team to NOT win a NC. Due to the injuries to Shea and Sveta...

I agree with ericsandiego above that 2001 was the best UCONN team to not win a NC! But I still feel that even though they didn't win a NC they are the greatest team because of the talent ON THE TEAM not ruined by the loss to ND in semis! Even Geno stated that was his most talented team!

IMO they weren't close to being the best team. As wallyeast continually brings up - the 2001 team got lambasted by ND during the reg season. And"most talented" does not mean best. Which is why imo many "tough as nails" championship teams were superior to 2001.

I do disagree with those that think UCONN would have lost if Sveta and Shea were healthy- no way. I think if healthy they would have taken care of ND. Sveta was starting to dominate. Early in the season they were searching and the year before imo Sveta grew up a lot.
