NC Playoff Poll (Round 1 Game 1)

Welcome to the 2016 UCONN NC Playoff Poll. I ran this a couple years ago and since things look like they are dying down around here (and elsewhere) I thought I'd run it again. We have a couple more entries.

Each poll (game) will run for a couple of days to allow everyone the chance to vote. The winner will be the team with the most votes and will move on to the next round. 11 teams, so 3 games in the first round. Every couple of days we'll have a new game for you. This should keep us a little busy for a couple weeks anyway.

First up is the 2010 team vs 2004 team.

Faris & Hayes could slow down DT more than any defender on 2004 that could slow down Maya & Tina.

No contest 2010 - I really like 2004 supporting cast and they have gotten a bum rap through the years, but Moore, Charles, Greene, Doty, and Hayes are just too strong - Greene fully recovered and Doty in her one really good year with Faris, McLaren, Dixon, and Gardler providing support.

I'm gonna go with 2010. Although, I don't think either team would win by double digits.... On a side note... Meghan Gardler with the "fixing my hair" 3 pointer.... classic!

There were other teams that Dee played on that were better, but her leading them to the NC that season may have the greatest individual effort of any player in the history of the game. Not only was her play sensational, but that team won the NC in no small part because she made everyone around her better.

2010. Athletic size, talent, Moore. But by pulling away in the last half of the second (halves then of course). A tired DT not having enough to pull 2004 through, and no one to cover Moore.

2010 in a close game, any team with DT will be a force to be reckoned with! But Maya, Tina, Kelly, Kalana, and Tiffany, a little too athletic for 2004!

2010 is my pick. Had the two best players in the country, went undefeated. 2004 lost four games, including the conference tournament championship.

A little weak on the voting. Well not a little weak, really weak. I think we had over 100 votes per game last time we did this. Hopefully it'll pick up. Next game up soon.
