He would be top 5 if he staysAll our NBA draft experts jump all over anyone who says Mullins should stay another year. I'm of the opinion another year in college could be good for Mullins. But it always seems like the draft experts on the board are correct. At least they were with McNeeley and Castle.
No lottery pick is staying because they might be top 5 next year.He would be top 5 if he stays
He's likely to be gone. It's a lot of money to turn down and we'll see where he gets drafted in this deep draft.
It's not a badge of honor for our picks to get drafted and go to the G league or not even play - Hawkins, Liam, AJax, Bouknight. Castle and DC were ready to go.
People on this board don’t care if someone is actually set up to do well as a pro. He's likely to be gone. It's a lot of money to turn down and we'll see where he gets drafted in this deep draft.

It’s not a part of the thought process when discussing these things.
It’s the boneyard mad-lib. Replace Mullins with Castle, Clingan, McNeeley, Hawkins, Sanogo, Bouknight….Why do we have to do this every year. So stupid. He’s gone and all likelihood a lotto pick. Shut up and accept it.
Outside of McNeeley. These situations are different because these guys draft were at peak heights while being lottery. It’s the boneyard mad-lib. Replace Mullins with Castle, Clingan, McNeeley, Hawkins, Sanogo, Bouknight….
I hope not. But I have nuanced thoughts I’d rather not post about this because it’s mostly speculation and nothing concrete.Do you think it affects recruiting? Perhaps not a great deal but I would imagine it does.
Thank youI hope not. But I have nuanced thoughts I’d rather not post about this because it’s mostly speculation and nothing concrete.
Our recruiting has looked “different” and intentionally so it seems. Whether that will be a good or bad thing remains to be seen.
your friend probably wouldn't understandIs nuanced the same as I don’t know WTF I’m talking about? Asking for a friend.

The point is this board is littered with posts of people saying they won’t go as high as they actually did, they aren’t ready, they should stay another year, etc.Outside of McNeeley. These situations are different because these guys draft were at peak heights while being lottery.
If McNeeley thought he was going to fall into the mid 20s he may have made a different decision.
Yeah I’m usually on the side of it’s time for this player to go in all the cases you named. They had nothing more to gain here. The point is this board is littered with posts of people saying they won’t go as high as they actually did, they aren’t ready, they should stay another year, etc.
He’s gone ( we all we’re hoping that he was this good and he’s a better player than we were expecting) and he’s deserving of the lottery, he’s a know entity, incredible shooter, passer, extremely smart plays well defensively and has a great feel for the game. He will be missed but he will represent UConn better in the NBA than any of our recent draft picks besides DC and S. Castle. Some of those players reputations benefited greatly by playing for UConn during their back to back championship years and their recent lack of success in the league proved that. Whether another year at UConn would’ve helped ( I think it could’ve helped especially Booknight ). JMHO( Why do we have to do this every year. So stupid. He’s gone and all likelihood a lotto pick. Shut up and accept it.
we're gonna see some nasty stuff the next couple of months if teams are already doing this in February. I get this draft is potentially an all timer but ever since the odds have changed we've seen teams with the worst records not get rewarded.
