This was best case scenario I think after seeing him go down like he did. Perhaps we can get him back healthy for the USF game.

MRI results this morning confirmed that Sr. QB Tago Smith tore the ACL in his right knee in Saturday’s 52-16 victory over Fordham.

Every team seems to have 3-4 QBs who are virtually interchangable. Doubt they're too hurt.

Navy hasn't done one in a decade.
Air Force's starting QB this season rolled back a year after injury.
Couldn't tell you off the cuff about Army, but I had a West Pointer co-worker last year STILL pissed about Napoleon McCallum.

The decision in theory is not about your sport at all but whether injury keeps you from class and midshipman stuff for a semester or year. Mechanics of it look like withdrawing from the Academy and re-entering.

We know a family who had a son that played at Army about 10 years ago.

He got hurt in the 1st or 2nd game of the season. His injury was enough that he not only missed the rest of the season but he was sent home because he couldn't participate in normal cadet activities either. He was only allowed back at academy when he was fit.

I asked him about RS & he said they didn't do that at Army. Maybe they've changed since then
