The outdated, outmoded, and outlandish 'Transfer Rule' from the NCAA Cartel should have been trashed a long time ago. Why is it okay for a coach to change jobs without penalty, but not players? Geno talks about 'tampering' why is not okay for a player to talk to another player whom she/he knows about whether or not they are happy with the choice they made? Some players do suffer "Buyer's remorse" once they get to a school. Coaches blow smoke up a recruits ass during the recruiting process and it's all sunshine and rainbows, then when they actually get to the school, it may be different. There should be no limit on transfers at all, as there are varied reasons for a player changing her/his mind.

Interesting - didn't know schools could do that, and I certainly understand schools that choose not to approve that usage of funds - it seems a little outside the 'intention' of setting up the funds.
It also occurs to me that there is a significant financial incentive to transfer for a serious student - get five years of education paid for during four years of academic eligibility.

It almost sounds like a no-brainer, doesn't it? So yea, talk about incentive to transfer...
