Napier being Napier

No idea how old this. He was so good at uconn

I’d love to see the clip of Bazz just after we won the NC in 2014 when he was in Mark Emmett’s face yelling something, I couldn’t exactly make out what it was, but is was something like “you don’t know” “you don’t know”. Something like that. Bazz was crying and so emotional, just unbelievable kid.

"This is what happens when you ban us."

This skinny little kid that I saw struggle at the 2010 Greater Hartford Pro Am became one of the greatest college basketball players of all time. Truly one of my favorite UConn players ever.
He's my favorite. When the NCAA, the ACC and ESPN tried to kill us he wouldn't let us die. And then he killed them.

That's why 2014's still my second-favorite title (nothing will ever top '99) even though it was our worst title-winning team and it was generally a miserable time for the program. Bazz is in the most elite, inner circle of the UConn pantheon of greats, and I wouldn't quibble with anyone who listed him first.

I took my kids to a NBA game in Feb/March of 2020 like a week before the world shut down.

Bazz was a reserve on the wizards but someone was missing and he got the start. Scored 29 if I’m not mistaken and I was going nuts. Pretty sure it was his career high.

This sounds like I wrote it, just better.

Shabazz and Ray are tied for my top spot, and that 2014 season is my single favorite season.

Shabazz has a real love for the game which absolutely shines for all to see. His gutsy, belief in himself, late game takeovers, like those threes against Kentucky and some others was some of the most exciting basketball I have ever had the pleasure to watch. Shabazz is the man.

My personal favorite PG of all time.

That run in 14', the gauntlet we ran through (Nova, Iowa State, Michigan State, Florida, and then KY), 4 predicted Final Four teams and KY.

His game was unreal, especially from deep 3.

Key freshman in Kemba's run, top dog in his last one. All time great
