UK's 2 players that committed today. One was ruled academically ineligible by his own high school transferred to some no name prep school who is allowing him to play. Hasn't taken his SAT. Very little chance he will be eligible and another who wont sign because he wants to see what their current PGs do(The Harrison twins are not garnering a lot of NBA interest and Ullis who is like 5'8 will be a 4 year guy). Sooo neither may ever play a game for them and it will hurt recruiting moving forward for 15 as they are running out of ships and are 3 deep at every position.

Yet we lost 2 recruits today to UNLV and Virginia Commonwealth. Who play in leagues worse than ours...

Exactly. Had we lost these kids to Kansas, Florida, an ACC school, etc it might raise the questions about our league again. Just speaks to the ever growing parity in college basketball recruiting. If we can land Stone, everything is fine.

I don't think it had anything to do with conference alignment. Remember when Memphis was in C-USA they had the best recruiting class in the country for multiple years. When you have a non-conference schedule like we will have it all equals out. I think it had more to do with Ollie and staff being honest with these kids, telling them that nothing will be promised and they will have to work for everything which resonates with some kids (daniels/d-ham) who are the type of kids who can appreciate the honesty and see through the lies. Where as a guy like shaka sits down with Mack and tells him hes going to be a 2k point scorer....

We recruited Briscoe? I'm not yet convinced that our league does not hurt our recruiting, Enoch and Adams have helped big time and Stone would finish it but we were the ones who won in 2011 and 2014 not UK.

Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. I'll be convinced when we don't get any top recruits, regional or otherwise!

I honestly think Mack was torn over his decision. I believe he would have taken less playing time over what Shaka promised him and attended UConn but proximity to his family was too difficult to overcome.
