NCAA tournament:

72-team field (First Eight instead of First Four)

1. This keeps the big boys happy without eliminating AQs.
2. Revenue skews more heavily to basketball's P5 (P4 + Big East).
3. This preserves the basic format of the tournament.
4. Two games per TV slot on Tuesday and Wednesday night.

CFP:

14-team field (2 byes to quarterfinals)

1. Big Ten and SEC champs guaranteed quarterfinal berth
2. Big Ten and SEC runners-up guaranteed auto bid
3. Next three highest ranked conference champs guaranteed auto bid
4. Seven at-larges

As sure as the sun will rise Shizzle shall predict!

On the CFP, I predict the “at-large” slots will be caveated with fineprint with something like “must finish the season ranked not less than top 5 with three P2 wins and a minimum of 2 games played in an 8pm time slot on a major network in an NFL stadium in front of a crowd of 70k at avg ticket price of $70,” otherwise said slots go to the highest ranked P2 schools.

Furthermore the P2 has designated any non P2 match up a “tri Lambda game”

I had no idea!!!

"Lambda Lambda Lambda (ΛΛΛ or Tri-Lambs) is a national collegiate co-ed social fraternity founded on January 15, 2006 at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut by a small group of students. On April 8, 2017, the Alpha chapter inducted their Upsilon Class, bringing their historical numbering to 157."

It is not a bluff. The university system is on the threshold of a major, long term contraction, and a huge percentage of university presidents act as if it can be solved with better marketing. Do you think an industry this stupid will make the right decisions about college athletics?
