My DVR missed the last minute or so...what happened?

Boat missed a front end. Maryland missed a tough runner over Brimah, and TS had a nice rebound in traffic (especially big since Brimah went for the block). They fouled TS right away and he missed the front end. TS then tied up Maryland in the backcourt with a great would-be steal, but arrow went their way.
Boat then locked down Faust and forced him into a really tough fadeaway 20-footer with a hand right in his face. Brimah snorked up the rebound with 0.6 - and they fouled him. He missed front end, not on purpose, but that was the best strategy anyway.

If he said "my DVR stopped recording with us up 17, what happened?", you'd have yourself a rhetorical question for the sake of humor/other points. Or if we were up 8 with 30 seconds left and won by one, you'd be in rhetorical territory. The way he wrote it - with the DVR stopping after the final points of the game were scored - legitimately reads to me like a stopped DVR and an honest question about what happened on the last two possessions.
Posting a link to Wikipedia is a really lame effort at pulling off an insult. Show some creativity. For example, try "if brains were dynamite, you couldn't blow your nose". People might find that funny and use it themselves.

I learned this lesson early on when recording any sporting event. Change the end time to 30 minutes beyond the listed end time. Most DVRs have this option. I lost a few good endings to Celtics games because of this.
