Always on the hunt for interesting UConn finds on marketplace, I picked this up in NJ last week for $30.
I’ve was keeping an eye on it for like a year but had no reason to be in NJ for pickup until something came up last weekend which brought me to the area. And it was still listed so I reached out.
Guy I bought it from was a 1996 St. John’s alum and was happy that I was bringing it home to CT where it belongs.

I remember at the time I didn’t have the money to buy the print so all these years later I finally have one. The framing alone is worth well more than the $30 I paid for it.

I have a poster or framed pic from every NC except 1999. I think I saw this when I was searching many years ago. Just not a lot of stuff for the 1999 championship.

I remeber this artist and stadium panoramic style was all the rage around then and into the 2000s.
But pricing was kind of stupid and I had a poster framing addiction and wall space issue already for 1990's Phish band posters of the shows I went to.
So for this to circle back all these years later was very cool.
This one just doesn't come up anywhere so I had to wait for a trip to New Jersey to finally jump on it.
Thankfully it was still available after all that time.

Been working on going through all my UConn stuff to display. Lots more to go
I love UConn shrines.
That is great!

Seeing the other panoramics has be thinking that mine has a whole lot more going on behind the mat and framing.
The added brass plate is interesting so I wonder if it was done by the framer or came that way from the artist.
The closest one I can find online to mine is this one on Etsy.

Either way, still very cool to finally own.
And what a nice collection you have going on.

In early 1999, I asked Jim Calhoun for an autographed basketball. On the day we were driving to Tampa, the ball arrived. Absent mindedly, I tossed the ball in the trunk. I still think that, to this day, on that night after the championship game, I could have sold it for $10,000. (I still have it, of course.)

Thanks - many years of collecting, some were gifts like the 1999 panorama - my nephew gave it to my husband in 2009, I think he found it at a flea market.
The seaglass Husky dog was done by my son and a Christmas gift in 2020
