Boise State balked at Mountain West's retention efforts

Here's a funny line:

“I’m really confused about Boise State’s athletic director’s statements that they had no discussions or negotiations with us about staying in the Mountain West Conference,” Graham said. “That’s pretty different than what we all experienced when we were in Boise.”

Also I may have been aware of this but forgotten, so this is a reminder to myself:

San Diego State’s agreement to join the Big East for football is contingent on Boise State also making the move. Graham said San Diego State officials attending the MW’s spring meetings earlier this month in Arizona gave no indications that they would not move forward with those plans.
