Blah blah blah but interesting to see conference payouts

So, basically, the mountain west gets the same amount of money for football and basketball, including football, that the big east gets for just basketball.

I learned something there. The Sun Belt pays out 7 million per team? That's pretty solid. No wonder they're picky and do so well.

That's not accurate with the AAC. At least before SMU departed, the existing members got the 7M still... the new members all shared 3.5M. Essentially to keep the payout flat they had to give ESPN more content (so they went to 14 members, with the 6 new members sharing the 3 full shares from the departed Houston, Cincinnati & UCF)

i don’t have any idea where that number comes from .
Their last published agreement was for $500,000 per school
You would think a kick up like that would be huge news.,

Actually the Mountain West gets an average of $4,000,000 per team .
Boise for sure and possible SDSU were given greater shares to keep them from joining the AAC ,Everyone else gets a bit less than $4,000,000 .
How much and if was both teams was never disclosed but since BSU hasn’t been the shining star of a few years ago there was some grumbling about the haircut .
