Any Yarders going this year? I’m going to be there September 29-October 3. Prost!
This! I am still not over Oktoberfest '97Enjoy. Still recovering from Oktoberfest ‘19.
I went late September, it’s still VERY crowded. We did one day in the beer hall, which basically requires you get there late morning, grab a seat, and hang out there for the day. We had a great time talking with all the random folks seated around us from all over the world. We did one other night in Oktoberfest just walking around the park/attractions, but not in one of the beer halls. Honestly, a day of Oktoberfest and a day doing the rest of Munich is probably fine. We started in Berlin, did 3-4 days there, one night in Dresden (very cool), and then ended in Munich.Let me know how it goes. We considered going. Have friends who will be going. The feedback I've gotten from friends, including in Germany, suggests going early (late September) and avoiding some of the most crowded situations. My wife said she could take maybe two days of Munich and would prefer spending the rest of the trip elsewhere. That makes sense to me as well.
Yeah, that tracks with what I understood. A day in the beer hall is enough. Can't do that for a week straight. I've got colleagues/friends in Frankfurt and Vienna. Might be a trip we plan next year. I'm also considering a river cruiseI went late September, it’s still VERY crowded.
