Mullins out tonight

.-.
Information on this game is weird right now:
1. Mullins out is expected but we need official word
2. ESPN's Preview states this is the first matchup between us - categorically wrong
3. Edwards - should be out if in a boot this weekend - no confirmation

Where’s the proof ? 👀
I mean I expect so but I need to see it to actually believe it
was in the Courant this am, they reported it pretty matter of factly.....here's a quote from the article:

Ball seemed to have found a way out of his shooting slump with 24 points and five made 3-pointers on Saturday, and the team will need him at his best with freshman Braylon Mullins unavailable after entering concussion protocol.

Assuming Stew starts? We really need him to find some offense and get Ross to come back to giving us 4-6 and useful minutes. AK has played 40, 35, 41, the last three games, and Ball, Mullins, and Demary have also been logging big minutes because we are getting next to nothing from the bench.

I assume he should be out also but I haven’t seen anything definitive & he has a status of GTD
& we all know Hurley plays these things close to the vest until it’s game time

That's pretty vague. We are anticipating that he will be out because of the sanctioned protocol.

Exactly it’s not factually but a highly likely guess but nobody actually knows until close to game time

Could this freshman class be so good (sure seems like it), and with limited playing time this year, and good NIL that it makes sense to come back and be top 5 pick next year?
A couple weeks ago I would have said you were crazy, but if he goes through pre-draft and isn't a top 20 pick I could see that. It seems that with this draft class the top keeps getting more and more stacked

If PC really is down on players and missing their starting PG, I would like this to be a game where Malachi is told to just run, run, run and push the ball. Even if it doesn't directly lead to baskets, wear them down.

Hope he's ready for Saturday to help stave off what feels like a looming court storming in Omaha.

I don't know UConn's specific protocol, but based on the NCAA's template protocol, it would be basically impossible to play 80 hours after an evaluated concussion.
Mullins took a pretty good shot. Agree with you.. Hurley is not gonna rush him back until he's ready. AK's experience with a concussion last year took some time.

If he is lottery then he has to go but he could absolutely use another year to get stronger and better. Just like Liam who lost most of his season due to that ankle injury which he never really seemed to have recovered from. He would have been better off staying another year.

FWIW.. Recent mock draft had he going to OKC at #11. Playing for UConn alum Coach Mark Daigneault (sp?)

Karaban missed 2 games with his concussion, Samson missed 1.

Do you think Karaban's efficiency immediately after returning might have been effected by his concussion?
No. He was fine right after. The 5 games after... His shooting was above his season average.

No, the numbers don't back it up. He had one terrible game shooting threes in his second game back but he was good overall for 8 or so games when he came back. His shooting woes didn't start until he was back for like 8-10 games.

Unavailable to me is not vague at all. What would be less vague?? Unavailable means not available means not playing. He didn’t say “anticipated to be unavailable.” He said unavailable.

People on this board will argue over the dumbest things

Yes, because spending another year practicing and playing against college players in an environment with restricted number of practice hours as compared to going pro and playing and practicing against professionals, will make him a better player.
Nevermind the better conditioning programs.

Every year some people insist playing down a level in competition is better for development.
