I wasn't talking about a season or a career and suggesting Nika was the greatest defensive PG ever, I was talking about the St. John's game. I would take Nika's 21 minutes yesterday and compare them with a 21 minute stretch for anyone. Nika had 4 steals, 4 rebounds and stopped the St. John's offense from starting. Moriah averaged approximately 2.6 steals per game and 2.5 rebounds per game both her senior and junior years and averaged about 30 minutes per game. So comparing Nika to the gold standard and extrapolating out to Moriah's average of 30 minutes without injury, she gets another 2 steals for 6 and another 2 boards for 6. I think we are seeing this year the early development of a future great point guard, and yes, a WNBA pro. Credit the Master for seeing this. I don't think a lot of people did.Do the name Moriah Jefferson ring a bell? (Sorry Flip!) In 2016 Moriah was named the American WBCA NCAA Division I Defensive Player of the Year and consensus first team All-American for the second straight season. Also in 2016 Moriah earned earn the Nancy Lieberman Award, nation's top point guard. She one of only four players in the award's history to claim the honor twice."
