Ms St - Lou thread

McCowan looks dominant, she would be a big problem if we make it that far.
What about the Louisville strategy of making her come out to the 3 point line? Seemed like a good strategy.

And just because she's a lot bigger than those defending her, it doesn't give opposing players carte blanche to be as physical as they want. UL is testing the refs and they are calling the game as it should be.

McCowan is allowed to be physical while Fuehring is called for the same thing.

Still a close game. MSSt has the edge here so long as Durr remains dormant.

That could work for us, since our bigs have inside-out game and are good passers.

The concern is mostly at the other end. Who's going to keep her from getting easy offensive rebounds and putbacks? Gabby is tough, but short. Stevens is tall, but kind of soft.

I know Fuehring isn't the swiftest player, but in certain situations when she has the ball on the perimeter with McCowan guarding her, I think she should try a drive. Might get a foul if done right.

Gotta say, it’s been a fun game to watch.

Vivians and Durr getting hot. Shaping up to being a great game.

Should be a good 4th quarter. My money is on Louisville...they’re making the hustle plays and seem to want it more.

I can't stand ESPN announcers, the consistently blather during the game and half the time you don't know what is going on in the game.

Simply not true. She is just a more dominant player and it appears to be unfair. That doesn't mean she's fouling.

Hell of a game, but I can't tell if it's because both teams are great or both teams are so-so.

They completely missed VV's 3rd foul for 30 seconds while having a random conversation.

Why would you say that about AEH? I don't think she ever wanted to quit, did she?
Because of all the schools to choose from, she chose the Bulldogs. I also am of the opinion that if Geno asked her to go, then she probably wasn't really trying.

Edit: What I said was not a nice thing. I apologize for my outburst and the above reply.

These teams battle. Assuming we win tonight I think the championship game will be exciting with Uconn still winning of course.

I don't think either of these teams will come within 20 of UCONN

ND scares me enough, given how tough they are. But if we do get by them, Louisville has a chance if they get hot from the perimeter. Durr and Hines-Allen are real monsters when they're playing at their peak.

And MSSt creates matchup problems with UConn, as they do with most teams, and as they did last year. Last year's SC didn't have to worry about that, because they were capable of nullifying MSSt's usual matchup problems, player by player.

Still, UConn has a chance to win those games. ;)
