The answer is in this pretty fine interview of Geno. They're in their houses, he's in his car. I'm sorta Geno'd out when it comes to interviews, but this was different. He's very relaxed and very funny at times. It starts with other sports news that you can race by, ditto a couple of commercials.

Won't make you wait. The answer is...you ready.... NONE!

Every interview with him is great, and every one is so different from any other you've watched. Somehow he is able to tailor an interview to his rapport with his interviewer. He's a great coach, but he could have been great at so many other things, too. What a talent! How fortunate we are!

Whom the heck is gonna follow him as Coach ?? And when????
After Big O would finish, after the 2029 (or 2030 ) season.. ?? He'd be 76 in March 2030.......
What poor person would, COULD, ...follow him..??? (Dee ???)
He gonna have a decent... pension,...about 40 years in as of now,...but "only" a Tier II -- cuz he started after July 1, '84, date when new-hires pension dropped by 1/3......

Something tells me he’ll be all right!🙂 Hopefully, Shea will keep him involved by seeking advice and bringing him in for inspirational talks to the team.

If he and O leave together I'd be fine with that...if he insists on staying longer I'm extra fine with that.
When he does leave he should do TV work...on his own schedule. He is insightful/interesting and darn
funny...TV would love him.

If I'm Geno, upon retiring I head to Italy for a six month decompression trip. Days scheduled around wine and food while looking around the countryside. If he thinks he'll get bored, schedule a few bball camps for athletes and coaches alike.

Hate to tell you this, but Shea will not be the coach of the team. She is very happy in Nashville, and my hope is that Carla would leave Princeton to take over for Geno.
