Just to keep things realistic, I happen to have a postseason guide for the 2006-2007 UConn team in my office. It shows that UConn's two exhibition games (both at gampel that season drew 8817 and 7542.

Can't say for sure, but I doubt very much that they did. However I don't remember any 'Yarders saying "I would have been there except for Sandy." Even before Sandy UConn was saying there wasn't a big serge of season tickets sold. If I am wrong, we should see a decent turnout Wednesday at XL. Unless you think a small attendance there will also be because of Sandy. BTW, if you weren't at Gampel Friday, was it because of Sandy?

There is a Nor'easter on the way. That could impact Wednesday's attendance. Weather gurus predicting heavy rain, sustained winds of 30 mph with gusts of 60+ mph on...wait for it...Wednesday night! But I will be there, gosh darn it! I will brave the elements! I will get drenched to the skin and fight the wind to and from the XL Center. I NEED THIS!

Though I only have the exact turnout for the men's first EX game, my recollection is that Our GIrls were right in the same ballpark....maybe even a bit better. Don't know if that is SOP or not, but I would think the men have usually drawn better?
