This was their best opportunity with Vandersloot "has not entered the game".
Jefferson was taken out of the game at 3:05 in the 3Q.
Stars needed to score to win this game and that probably was the reason MJ did not come back.
I only watched the last 3 minutes and did not get to see her play.

Haley Peters (Duke) scored all 16 of her points in the 4th quarter to lead the comeback.

I know Mr Orangutan is sick right now

I watched that game with my League Pass. Haley was impressive. She pretty much won the game for the Stars. I'm surprised she wasn't drafted, because it's obvious she can play at this level. Chicago is not yet looking like a playoff contender.

Well, yeah, that, and the fact that EDD fouled out. But MoJeff, despite starting, did not look comfortable out there. 2-6 shooting, missed open shots, 2 assists with 2 turnovers, -14 +/- rating. Her "backup" Sydney Colson, looked much more comfortable out there running point, played 22 minutes to Moriah's 18, and had a +15 rating. I'm sure Moriah will get better.

While she was playing at least in the first half the team was shooting about 20% which makes it hard to get assists!

One of Mo's problems so far is her inability to get players the ball in the spots they like and on time. She's been affected, so far, by the physicality of the league and the inability or unwillingness of the officials to be consistent. She's also had trouble finding her spots on the floor and she's having trouble with the hyper/stutter/stop pacing of games.

I thought that the Stars would have been better served to draft a player that could help around the basket, considering they had Colson and Robinson. I didn't see Jefferson bringing anything to the table that those two did not already provide.

And the Stars have plenty of shooters, especially with the addition of Peters, who has to be a pleasant surprise for the SA coaching staff.

Well at the rate they are going.... they can bring in Coates from South Carolina next year.

Give Mo time to adjust to the league she will be fine it's only 4 games in

I've watched all of Moriah's games at least in part and, while this one was not too good, overall she has looked really good. She hasn't shot all that well, but she has averaged 4.3 assists to 1.3 turnovers. For a rookie, she's played a lot of minutes, really thrown into the fire, and she's flying around much like she did at Uconn making the right passes and being a force on defense. The future looks bright to me. It may take time. Remember Vandersloot sat on the bench a lot even in her second season. Moriah will get where she needs to be and will be one of the best.
