Easy enough to calculate:Noteworthy that UConn is fourth in scoring defense while being number one in (fewest) fouls committed per game. Playing excellent defense without fouling (much).
Conversely, UConn isn't getting to the line much either.
Also amazing that with a 75 rank on three point percentage UConn is still number one in overall field goal percentage. UConn is taking over 24 threes per game so the two point shooting percentage must be crazy good. High field goal percentage also helps with the number 3 assist ranking.
Hopefully offensive rebounds (280th) and free throw attempts (349th!) increase as the season progresses. There is some correlation there. Admittedly shooting 52% overall does limit the number of offensive rebounds available.
Apparently, because UConn is not fouling much, their opponents are not getting called for fouls much either [fouls beget more fouls]. I think UConn's offense flows better the fewer stoppages are called.Noteworthy that UConn is fourth in scoring defense while being number one in (fewest) fouls committed per game. With our low FT%, maybe it's a good thing we rank #349 in free throw attempts per game. The free throw percentage is killing me a bit. But everything else looks good. Specially that field goal percentage .
I hope we see more of those transition shots by Sarah like last game. Those will tend to shake up the opposition. They need to find a way to attack the rim early in the shot clock to loosen up the 3 line.
Hard to get consistently good foul shooting when you hardly ever get to the line. Being close to the bottom of D1 in FTs made and attempted is much more alarming to me than a mediocre percentage. The free throw percentage is killing me a bit. But everything else looks good.
