Anyone noticing that we are getting a lot more respect from "experts" than the past couple of years? They are all saying that we are in the national championship hunt, which they would have laughed at in the pre-season last year. Granted, we do have a more talented team, but we are in a conference that is laughable compared to the "power" conferences. We lost Lousville and picked up Tulsa, Tulane, and ECU and we are still getting at least some of the respect that we deserve. It's refreshing.

Not quite sure what Tulsa, Tulane, and ECU have to do with UConn as a team, if you're talented and good then you're talented and good regardless of who you play. I don't remember anyone saying "well Memphis has Derrick Rose and CDR, but they play UAB". Imo it seems like we're regarded about the same as lasy year, top 15-20, but of course with the national championship in the bag and some returning pieces in play you have the contender and defending the title elements added into season previews.

Well being the reigning national champs earns you a bit of respect.
