I think Nicole also had issues between her ears.  She seemed to lose confidence after her injuries and was very reluctant to shoot.  Her case was puzzling.  She too was a top student, perhaps her HS valedictorian.

The difference is that Molly was a top-100 or so recruit and Nicole was the McDonald's NPOY her senior year in high school. Nicole had enough talent to be on the Wall of Honor.
