Michelle Voepel writes about Cathy Rush and the story: http://espn.go.com/womens-college-basketball/story/_/id/7124832/mighty-macs-movie-tells-tale-immaculata-university-cathy-rush

In thinking about Cathy Rush the other night I picked up John Walters' wonderful book on the 2000-2001 season at UConn ("The Same River Twice") in which John devotes several pages to Cathy Rush, her players and her influence on college basketball. Some of Rush's players went on to become collegiate and professional coaches including Theresa Grentz, Rene Portland and Marianne Stanley. Many other future coaches worked as counselors at Cathy Rush's basketball camp, including Geno, Muffet, Harry Peretta, Debbie Ryan, Phil Martelli and Jim Foster. When asked why she remembered Geno back then, Cathy Rush said:

"well, probably because he was so good-looking...He'd wear what we call the Italian T-shirt which nobody liked except on him. He'd be outside all summer, the hair getting blond streaks in it, this gorgeous tan, and the blue eyes and, you know, no one forgot him.

"Plus, he's just a personality," she adds. "He's a funny, funny guy."
