Apparently paying fired employees more than they are due under their contract is the "moral" thing to do.
Or is it "hush" money of some sort? Sounds like the problems at RU never went away, they were just being kept off radar for a little while! lol

Rutgers is bracing for criminal charges that will cast this program in a negative light again. And that's the last thing Chris Ash needs heading into his third season.

Conspiracy Kitty says: Hmmm, another clue to UConn just sanding down the conference logo? Could the the Big 10's buyers' remorse finally grown to the point that changes maybe coming? RU continues to disappoint on and off the field. You never know what the B1G is going to do before it happens. That makes LBM's silence all the more interesting. Stay tuned.

Rutgers Football Players Under Investigation for Credit Card Fraud

Apparently it involves several players.
Rutgers, Ohio St, Maryland all in scandal mode. I am certain the NCAA will find it is all UCONN'S fault.

8 Rutgers football players charged in credit card fraud scheme

>>Eight Rutgers football players were involved in a credit-card fraud scam over the spring in which the players — four of whom have since parted ways with the team — stole roughly $11,000, authorities tell NJ Advance Media.

The accused players received summonses earlier this week and had plans to turn themselves in to authorities on Wednesday, according to two persons with knowledge of the matter. They requested anonymity because they are not authorized to speak publicly about the case.<<
