The UNC stuff goes back well before Louisville. I guess that's why they felt Louisville would fit right in.

If you ain't cheatin' you ain't tryin'.
Fact of life in this environment. I'm not for it and I don't condone it but if we cheated more and hired Petrino types, we'd be in a P5. Not sure what to do.

Whistleblower sues Duke, claims doctored data helped win $200 million in grants
So if you are keeping score:
1. UNC on academic probation.
2. Louisville arranging, and paying for, stippers and prostitutes for players and recruits.
3. Louisville on academic probation.
4. Now Duke with research fraud.

Sleep with dogs, wake with fleas....

Has to be scary for Duke. They got maybe $80 mn out of those $200 mn in grants, the rest spent; and could be liable for $600 mn.

Overall in academia, the number of cheaters is at least $80/$600 = 13%. So if every potential whistleblower reports and wins, then academia loses all its revenue.

.-.
Hmmm, and you've tied all this to Louisville?
Yes, as you see in the flow chart below:

I think the ACC's "we're about academics" mythology has been blown up, brandy new academic consortiums notwithstanding.

There's no question that UConn should have been asked to join the ACC. But rather than tear apart Louisville maybe UConn should follow their example when they do good things. For instance, this week The Associated Press reported "Lamar Jackson accounted for a school-record eight touchdowns and 405 offensive yards before halftime Thursday night in No. 19 Louisville’s 70-14 season-opening rout of Charlotte at Louisville." That's better than the close UConn-Maine game -- is it not?

Huh? No... Didn't you hear, last night's game was "a lot of fun" and "wildly entertaining."

If you are discussing malfeasance, you have to give FSU and SU their due.
