MLS announces landmark 10-year media rights deal with Apple TV, beginning in 2023

Major League Soccer has announced that Apple TV will be the home to all of the league's matches globally for 10 years, starting in 2023.

Wow. Not sure what to make of the deal yetbut basically each team will get less than $10M a year.

Also they are basically giving up on getting tv ratings; which they will never get. Probably not a bad move.

Reminds me a bit of the AAC-ESPN deal. The league picks up all production costs. At the end of the day, they make some money and continue to not grow the sport.
