Ichiro Suzuki is the first Japanese-born player voted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He'll be joined by CC Sabathia and Billy Wagner in the Class of 2025.

Who in the world DIDN'T vote for Ichiro?? 99.7%? What a dunce and/or I guess some people like to be contrarian because....reasons. Griffey Jr. only getting 99.3% of the votes (back in the day) is just as insane too, maybe some voters should have their voting rights revoked.

Thoughts? Who makes it for 2026?

I'll hijack here to say I am a little disappointed they didn't do something for Pete Rose this year. In my opinion (FWIW) he paid his dues and wore the scarlet letter for 30 years. I think it would have been a nice touch to acknowledge that, clear the air and let him in posthumously.

And I will go to my grave set on MLB shoving the Shohei gambling scandal under the rug in a month's time. In my gut, I truly believe if you opened that Pandora's Box, there was more than enough to sink him forever.
