Oh lord please help us. I don't know what's more painful, MSU's play today or Carolyn Peck's singing.

LSU at Auburn is making a run at it lol

We are down 15 now

Yeah I said earlier this week I hated being the second game back for R Howard.

Damn, we have to go play at UK next week, and host Texas A&M not long after that. Both Howard and Carter for Texas A&M have returned with a vengeance, and apparently some bionic body parts. This conference season isn't over yet....

Not for this MSU team. I thought you had watched us more than that.

That was my main issue with this Miss St team. They have talented young players but absolutely zero leadership or anyone to turn to when times get rough.

Danberry is a good player but she isn't going to lead and carry the team on her back. Same with Bibby. I see a bunch of underclassmen playing discombobulated and in panic mode right now. They let a somewhat manageable deficit turn into a pretty steep hill to come back from.

In order for MSU to be successful, Rickea has to play well and score. Since she has been absent, absolutely no one has stepped up to pick up the load.

the worst game we played since Tennessee 2017. Hard to imagine it's been 2 years since we've been that bad.

Kentucky is pulling away. This would be a huge blow to MSU's chances at stealing the regular-season title from South Carolina. The Gamecocks already hold the head-to-head advantage - falling a 2nd game behind them would be disastrous for the Bulldogs.....

As a State fan I can assure you we were not expecting to steal the SEC from Carolina. I said all along that 2 out of 3 in this stretch of 3 games in a row vs Top 25 caliber teams was a reasonable goal. This performance has been ugly, but UK deserves credit for their effort.

Wow, Espinoza-Hunter having her best game in a very long time.

She has 7 points, and the PBP person just said she had 7 points total over their past 7 games.

Wouldn't that be 3 years?

Really, MSU has been incredibly consistent.

Yeah, my math was off. We are consistent yeah. This type of game is strange considering Arkansas scored 103 against Kentucky.

OMG consecutive blown layups by MSU that would've cut the lead down even further.

May be a little bit extreme. MSU is a good team that got smacked in the mouth today on the road. This is one of the issues with having a young group with no upperclassmen leadership to fill the void.

Rickea had her arguably worst game of the season by far. She disappeared all game.

MSU did this to themselves though, dumb turnovers, missing layups. Cant do that.

J Danberry is a great complentary player on a team where she doesn’t have to start. Her best role was the Final Four year. She basically won the Louisville game.

Sometimes it seems like the other players just expect things to happen when they enter the game. For example X Wiggins is supposed to be our perimeter stopper when she enters. However tonight she seems to be going through the motions. Similarly A Matharu comes in expecting to just score. They have not figured out how hard they have to play yet. I agree that there is no real leader on this team that has yet developed.

Mitchell spent his last timeout with 3:30 to play. This could get interesting if MSU can close the gap.

8-point game with 2:07 to play.

Not a good foul there by Mingo-Young.

Miss St's entire team was going through the motions today. Poor decision making resulting in turnovers, lazy defense, lack of hustle.

How was that contact between a MissSt player and Carter not called????????????????????????

Lol no call on that contact between Howard and AEH? That's gotta be a call one way or the other.

I’m glad she’s having a good game. She always gives a great effort on defense and is the first one up on the bench to support her teammates. I wish she was just a little bit quicker.

Well I was one who voted for Kentucky to win the game. I guess a lot of people forgot State and Kentucky are rivals as well.

You can’t go into a home game against a Top 20 team and expect to not get embarrassed with that effort. However I don’t want to take anything away from Kentucky. They did a great job. I knew R Howard was an incredible player but C Patterson really played well.

Honestly, I'm kind of amazed State has, for the most part, avoided games like this all year with our youth. We've played this badly against lesser teams and found a way, but when we did it against better teams like UK and WV (who was playing well at the time) we lost as we should have.

Congrats to UK. They played very hard and deserved the win. Helped them more than it hurt us and may have helped us in the long run.
