Wait, MSU is playing zone again? Are we in the twilight zone?

Down by 13 with 11 minutes on the clock.
Things look bleak for The Dawgs.

MSSTU is getting their buttocks handed to them.

Miss St looks like some JUCO team today. Just pretty embarrassing performance all around.

Bigger concern for MSU is they look like they are getting worse down the stretch in SEC play instead of getting better.

Being out hustled by Kentucky, not playing hard and making too many bonehead plays. Vic needs to have a sit down with them.
Somehow this sounds eerily familiar.

Kentucky is pulling away. This would be a huge blow to MSU's chances at stealing the regular-season title from South Carolina. The Gamecocks already hold the head-to-head advantage - falling a 2nd game behind them would be disastrous for the Bulldogs.....

This isn’t looking good for MSU. They look totally out of sorts on offense and inconsistent on defense. R Howard is also hitting some unreal shots with someone in her face.

Just take this loss. We lost the SEC title as soon as that inbound pass against South Carolina went the other way. We could not have overtaken South Carolina without that head-to-head match.

So....just play for a 14-2 and maintain this #3 seed at this point. Possibly get to the 2 line, which is possible too.

. . . what did I do with that Fork?

Getting good shots just missing, Kentucky not missing. Going to be tough to keep this close unless we can hit some 3.

Dumpster fire of a 3rd quarter for MSU. Did they do anything well? Did anything at all go right for them?

Their offense has been herky-jerky all season, but I'm absolutely flummoxed by how dysfunctional their defense is in this game. News flash: Howard is their best player, you might want to guard her.

Prior to this game, Kentucky's best wins were over Tennessee, which they barely won, and an A&M team with no Carter playing.

Vic needs to run plays for Jackson. She is Miss St’s best player why not go to her?

Yeah I said earlier this week I hated being the second game back for R Howard.

Howard went over 1000 career points, well on her way to 2000+.

57-41 KEN end of third
Howard with 24 pts, 8 reb, 2 ast, 2 stl in 28 min

Oh lord please help us. I don't know what's more painful, MSU's play today or Carolyn Peck's singing.

Damn, we have to go play at UK next week, and host Texas A&M not long after that. Both Howard and Carter for Texas A&M have returned with a vengeance, and apparently some bionic body parts. This conference season isn't over yet....

Not for this MSU team. I thought you had watched us more than that.

That was my main issue with this Miss St team. They have talented young players but absolutely zero leadership or anyone to turn to when times get rough.

Danberry is a good player but she isn't going to lead and carry the team on her back. Same with Bibby. I see a bunch of underclassmen playing discombobulated and in panic mode right now. They let a somewhat manageable deficit turn into a pretty steep hill to come back from.

In order for MSU to be successful, Rickea has to play well and score. Since she has been absent, absolutely no one has stepped up to pick up the load.

the worst game we played since Tennessee 2017. Hard to imagine it's been 2 years since we've been that bad.

As a State fan I can assure you we were not expecting to steal the SEC from Carolina. I said all along that 2 out of 3 in this stretch of 3 games in a row vs Top 25 caliber teams was a reasonable goal. This performance has been ugly, but UK deserves credit for their effort.
