No poll, but I'll pick Georgia in a slight upset in Athens.
I think this could be a trap game for MSU for sure. I'm still not convinced that we are a good as the polls indicate given I've read about some pretty good showings verses some rather pedestrian play. This team doesn't have an identity or a true alpha player as leader. That just isn't Danberry's style and one one else has stepped up.

Last year everyone knew it was McCowan's team yet she also had the benefit of a experienced, steady PG. Plus I with go to battle with Howard on my team any day of the week. The previous year was a senior laden team that had played together for a long time.

Basically I look at our team and Carter is okay and so is Danberry Jackson has a ton of potential. I've always liked Bibby and she's come back nicely. P. Taylor and Morris are basically projects who will probably never give much more than they have shown so far. The rest of the team? 6 guards who are all undersize and none of whom have shown they can be a consistent leader, 5 of whom are underclassmen. I wouldn't be shocked if a couple of them bailed out.

Georgia has lost four out of the five games they've played against competitive Competition. Don't see that changing today. Gerogia beat Va Tech and lost to Ga. Tech, Villanova, Baylor and UCLA. Miss ST too much for them.

Georgia looked pretty bad the few times I watched them play. They struggled offensively.

If MSU allows Georgia to score 50 points I'll be surprised.

Jackson misses more great looking shots than anyone.

I'd be very surprised if she isn't an All American before she's finished.

She's Miss State's upside this year, I believe.

Georgia hanging in there.

We are still a work in progress but the potential is there for us to be really good.

Typically, improvement in basketball comes in baby steps. We have definitely been improving in very small baby steps to date.

Offensively, to date, we seem to lack confidence. Shot selection and being definitive on offense has been lacking.

Second half will tell us some more about this team. I hope to see more cohesive offense and a smothering effort on defense. We need to continue to dominate the boards.

Miss St may lose this with the trash shooting.

Dont deserve to win when you are missing a bunch of layups

Our shooting is terrible. At the end of the day basketball is a game that requires you to make baskets. We are utterly unable to do that.

She looks to be pressing right now. She is missing layups and stuff near the basket I never see her miss.

I sort of think she misses a lot of them. I assume she's just rushing a bit because she's not completely comfortable.

This game has reminded me what a gift the NCAA gave Miss State by randomly deciding to change the eligibility rules for Danberry.

LOL Rickea just gave her the PALM. Says speak to the palm.

Rickea is phenomenal. I think she is bound to have up and down games when they are leaning heavily on her to produce as a true frosh. She has not shot it particularly well today, which will happen on the road, but she is still playing hard and is contributing in other ways.
