Carter has struggled significantly offensively but her defense has been superb.

Tied 17-17 after one. Good game so far.

Rickea has made some really nice plays early. Jump will be a pain to deal with, girl can shoot. Belibi has been good.

Stanford destroying State on the boards 18-7 after 1Q.

I was concerned about rebounding.

Both teams playing hard

Stanford missing some open shots. MSU struggling to find clean looks at the basket right now with the current lineup. A lot of standing around.

And they're 10-10 from the free throw line vs our 1-3. Surprised this game is tied. No stat is in our overwhelming favor, but we have been shooting better.

I'm not watching. Listening to the MSU play by play. Sounds like an exciting game.

Stanford fans typically complaining about their FT shooting, not tonight.

If it wasn't for offensive rebounding, Stanford would be losing by 10-15 points here. Ice-cold from outside and missing lots of bunnies as well.

Wow what the heck was MSU trying to do to end the half.

They didn't even run a play.

Its the freshmen show tonight between Jackson and Belibi. Leading both their teams in points.

USF coach is one of the announcers, the other is a little cringe. She talked about how their goal was to keep the ball in the hands of their PG as long as possible.

That's Katy Steding, former Stanford great. Was on Tara's 1990 championship team.

With Myah Taylor getting 2 fouls early and Matharu's continuing questionable decisions, State played freshman Mingo Young, basically the 3rd string PG, at the point for 13 minutes. I think Vic will probably take the halftime score given that.

I’m listening to the Stanford audio. They just played an interview where they asked Ashton Prechtel who would win a 2 on 2 between the freshmen from Colorado and the two from California. Prectel: we’d win.... I’d just throw lobs.

:)

It doesn't help much that M. Taylor is zero offensive threat. Its almost 4 v 5 offensively for state.

9-0 run in less than 2 minutes. Those will get you beat quick.

Matharu thinks being the PG means you shoot every time it's remotely possible to.

Vic is going to start rolling players in until he finds somebody who can provide some O.

Matharu is more a shooting guard than a PG right now.

As I type that she makes a nice dish to carter.
