Land Grant vs Flagship..... my favorite kind of battle. Not sure how close the two campuses are... but I expect to see some maroon (the color not a person) in the stands getting rambunctious and rowdy.

Ole Miss is seriously playing out of their minds. Miss St has gotten lazy defensively at times but Ole Miss is actually hitting shots

Man she can be scary when she's hot. Vic needs to live with some of the bad sometimes with her, her offense is much needed.

The campuses are about an hour away. Supposedly, they blocked anyone but Ole Miss season ticket holders from buying tickets unless you walked up on game day.

If Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee, and A&M all tie at 10-6, how does that break the tie?

I didn't expect Kentucky to lose.... yikes... to Vanderbilt.
 
Matharu could be a catalyst for a little deeper NCAA run than I expected from this team. She is hot hot hot right now.

Taylor with 10 assists and 1 turnover.

I agree. She is like a microwave. She also is light years ahead defensively and getting much better not forcing wild shots than she was even at the first of the year.

What bad? She is a game changer for us. Her outside shot opens up the lane and that is exactly what we need.

Sometimes she gets a little out of control on offense, her defense can be spotty, and she is still working through making good decisions. Coach Schaefer has spoken about it in his press conferences as to why she hasn’t played as much sometimes. He said today was the first time she has put together back to back good games. Coach Schaefer’s comments is what he is referencing.

In fairness SECbbfan24 has long advocated A Marthau has needed to play more and her positives outweigh the “bad” referenced by Coach Schaefer.
 
AEH remains in Vic's Dog House with no signs of getting out soon. Wow, how a season has changed for AEH at Miss State U

I agree early games she was out of control at times and got lost on defense but the last two games her defense. Is very good, still a little wild sometimes but her confidence level is great. Hope Vic uses her a lot for SEC and NCAA tournaments because I think she can really help.

I do not believe Vic is down on AEH. He knows we need her to perform at last season level But it is obvious her shot is not there, what happened, not a clue.
 
Matharu makes freshman mistakes, but for that matter, so does our grad player Jordan Danberry. She's too good not to be on the floor. She was supposed to start today, but Vic said she was 7 minutes late for the bus to the arena so she didn't. Love that he holds our players accountable. This will pay off huge dividends down the road.

AEH is still an important part of this team.
For us to make a serious run, we are going to need her in a big way.

I have confidence in her that will happen!!!
She is a terrific player and now she is just not a scorer.

Obvious she is a terrific teammate but we need her to be a scorer and her shot is not there, she has lost so much confidence that she does not even attempt shots where she is wide open. I hope she can get it back but this has been going on all season.

I'm with you. The more I watch And and how positive she is for her teammates and how genuinely happy she is for them when they do something well, I can't help but pull for her. When she knocks paint off the rim, I literally cringe. But I agree that she could win a game for us in the postseason off the bench.
