I recognize a higher level of football but so much we can learn from this article. The Mississippi players were not happy with Kiffin but instead of copying his behavior they confronted it and did the opposite. Restores some faith in ethical behavior in college sports.

He made a lot of $ with their win. Maybe coaching contracts need to be adjusted.

Chief, I'm a bit curious, did you make any comments on St John's turning down an NIT bid a couple years ago? Shouldn't they have been chastised in a manner similar to how you are currently criticizing our football team?

Personally I think it was wrong of the players and stated that on this board when it became apparent that many viewed the Fenway Bowl as not worth the effort. That said, it's over and I imagine very few who bailed on that game will be on our 2026 roster.

Child one will not eat a moldy piece of bread.

Child two will happily eat a nice, freshly baked piece of bread.

WHY WILL CHILD ONE NOT BE MORE LIKE CHILD TWO

One good example was their D-2 transfer QB. We should hope our new coach can find similar gems in the portal and take us to next year's playoffs......
Or maybe he could use Curt Cignetti's recruitment and development philosophy and win it all in two years and get us into the B1G in place of Rutgers.
It's possible, isn't it?

$500,000 for that game. $750,000 for next, and $1,000,000 if they make the final. And good ole Lane is talking about stripping Ole Miss of most of their coaching staff by demanding they report to their new job at LSU? What a mess!

Is it possible the players" revenue sharing contract includes team performance incentives? I have no idea how these things work. Did find out that Mississippi and other states deny public information access to them.

Well, the fact that they were playing for a national championship might have come into play

In business there’s a right way to conduct yourself and doing otherwise in the long term ends on a bad note.
