It was smart for Mir to transfer when she did. There was still a lot of season left to play this year and she was lucky enough to get an exemption. I believe that due to a few off recruiting seasons by Connecticut And her athleticism Mir was forced to play out of her normal position. It’s always sad to see a young lady give up on her UConn dream but I believe in this case Mir will benefit from transferring. I wish her happiness and success.

I watched the game and along with Mir’s 20 pts. she had 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists all in 22 minutes (foul trouble).
Not to take away from Mir’s effort , I don’t think I saw Virginia run any plays. I guess being a hall of farmer doesn’t make Tina Thompson a good coach.

I think Mir went to the perfect school for her. I like it when players make good decisions.
Maybe she needs an alternative form of cultivation.

UVA comes to the Yum Center tomorrow night. I'm looking forward to seeing Mir play. On the Walz radio show last night Associate Coach Purcell talked about her at great length.

The Louisville game will be a good test for her. I hope she does well. Watching how she carries herself on the court, I believe she will be a very good player.
