Maya with 9 PTS on 4-6 shooting. Minny with great scoring balance and 26 assists to 13 turnovers. Bench on fiya.

Only bad stat from Reeve's POV was Peters' 4 fouls

you're right - the starters played pretty evenly (minny starters were like +3 or +4), but the minny bench was all about +20 and the chicago bench was all -20...

At what point will Peters learn how to play without fouling? She had four years under a good coach at ND and still had no clue how to control this. Although it helped Baylor in the NC game, I would still like to see her learn to play within herself.

She played more minutes than any post player for the Lynx. Three of the four fouls came in the 4th quarter. The last two fouls came in the closing minutes of a blow out. She's a defensive player that's a shot blocker that's played out of position for much of her collegiate career and was when she committed the fouls in this game. You don't have enough knowledge of Peters or ND to state that she "still had no clue how to control this". She actually did control it well her senior season. Peters is more likely to commit fouls with the amount of blocks and steals she goes for and ND's style of play and personnel. A similar player in stature and position like C. Ogwumike (Pac 10's DPY) had 45 blocks and 28 steals against lesser competition with only 1 FO . G. Johnson who had 41 blocks and 49 steals w/ 2 FO. Peters had 78 blocks and 78 steals w/ 3 FO against drastically more difficult and physical competition. Chiney had her sister to help her out and a slew of posts. Peters was on her own for much of the season. You are correct that when she did foul out it hurt ND. Peters is best when she is going all out, that's her game. You don't get the full benefit of her skills when you harness them too tightly.
