Listened to Mike Leach on Sirius radio this afternoon. Many callers asked what he thought of WVU to the Big 12. He thought it was a good short term move for WVU, but he did not think the marriage would last more than the short term, or about 5 years. Why? He didn't think WVU was a good LT fit and there would be more conference movement in the future.

I guess WVU better be nice to all of their recent conference mates as they leave as you never know where you may end up next.

WVU looks a little out of place on the map of the Big XII.

Did the Big 12 do the TV rights lockup in the end or not? If so, that pretty much guarantees they'll be there for a while, right?

The B12 is just a temporary arrangement for 6 years so that Texas can test the viability of the LHN. After this 6 year agreement, Texas will either go independent (if the LHN is a huge success), or join another conference (either P12 or B1G). Everyone knows it. That is why Missouri is leaving...get a spot now while you can instead of trying to scramble in 6 years for a spot. Missouri tried to get a 12 year agreement in order to stay...and Texas said no.

Everyone knows the B12 will not be around 8 years from now. WVU just jumped from a sinking ship into a ship with a broken motor and a springing leak. Their new boat may get them a little closer to the shore (and they will be dry for a little bit longer), but eventually they will end up in the same place.

I am just hoping that UConn will get rescued by another boat before our ship completely sinks!

After 6 years - Texas, OU, OSU and TT will go to the PAC-16 as originally planned.

Don't count out the B1G for Texas, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up there instead eventually.
