Anthony is ho-hum at best, nothing more than what every follower of the team already knows.
I found his word masochistic for us that attended the game rather than something along the line of loyal a bit out of line.
Masochistic- deriving sexual gratification from one's own pain or humiliation, (in general use) enjoying an activity that appears to be painful or tedious.

So loyal season ticket holders and parents of players are assumed by the writer to have enjoyed the beat down? Maybe a walk through the lot pregame and a few interviews would have him allowed some actual insight. His view from the press box and attendance at Randy's post game presser could have come from a freshman journalism student. One would expect a better game from the headlining sports columnist of the states largest circulated news paper.
