Mighigan Game on ABC?

So I know there not going to announce the game time till this weekend, but does anyone know what the deal will be with ABC. How awesome would if be for that to be a night game and to have Herbie and Mussburger announce it. I know I may be dreaming having them come here, but that would be huge for us.

I looked at the schedule for week 4 and there really aren't too many other good matchups. (Not saying ours might be close, hopefully it will). But I couldn't tell you where Gameday will be. Usually they have the 8 PM ABC Broadcast, unless its an CBS SEC game like this weekend. Bama vs AM. Herbie and Mussburger are announcing Purdue vs. ND (Probably going to be a worse game then UConn Michigan)

Yeah I just saw the 8PM start time for Texas, that wasn't up when I looked yesterday. It looks like were getting the noon start time. Not bad, but 8PM would have been awesome. Lets hope we don't embarass ourselves on network television!

I don't think OP meant that Gameday would come to Storrs so much as remarking on the lack of marquee matchups and the probability that the lack of marquee matchups could lead to a primetime slot on network television.

A lower profile probably is best given the real possibility we get blown out and the Rent empties by Q3. It just puts what's left our brand further down the toilet.

If we pull off something big it would be plastered all over the place after the fact. This is one time I can remember where I think being on the big stage has huge risks.

Too bad. It's this kind of "old boys club" (LSU for the 23rd time, the Swamp for the 47th, Notre Dame for the 69th time) that has made it difficult for an up and coming program like UConn be gain acceptance at the big boy table. There was a time back in '09 and '10 that UConn was playing well enough and had some big implication games that could have warranted a visit by game day.

So ESPN is showing ABC/ESPN but no game time. Based on the way they do Saturday college football programing i'm gonna guess and say it's gonna be a 3:30 start ABC with an ESPN mirror.

TDH mentions our glory days of a few years ago and how we might have had a small chance at a Gameday visit. I'm fairly new here but what did/does his whining have to do with the blackhole we find ourselves in now?
