They've sucked until recently. Don't think anyone gave them a second thought over that period let alone overrated them.

I've got a buddy who is a big Michigan fan. I told him I have them losing the Louisville in the finals. He said he doubts they'll make it that far. He was real high on them earlier this year, but says their late season play didn't inspire much confidence.
