During the timeout, Mcdonough & Chris Spielman listed 4 to 5 areas for Michigan to emerge victorious. They were the voices of DOOM as every scenario they discussed came to fruition in reverse. Clean snap-NO, fall on the ball-Nyet, kick it out of bounds-nada, etc., etc.

I thought he was maybe trying to throw the ball away, for an incomplete pass. Just fall on it at that point, take the TFL and your team defends one hail mary attempt. Gotta feel for the kid as he will hear about that play for the rest of his life.... but come on, catch the snap, one-step and kick it out of bounds downfield.
