Michigan Goes down!

I gave you a KP data point & factual data on talent (lottery picks), the fact they were favored by 9.5 by Vegas and that it was a one score game with under a minute to go, as non consensus driven items.

As for common opponents - I cannot see how us blowing out a common opponent by 5 points more is a real data point.
The biggest data point is UConn would already be 1-0.

The funky thing about data is it doesn’t factor in nuance. Things like matchups and momentum. It’s impossible to dig in on either side of this argument without this information.

Sorry, Jake?

I believe if you tallied the amount of NBA years between that Duke team and that UConn team, you'd get a least double if not triple. Battier, Brand, Magette had long careers. Avery & Langdon played a few. I believe Jake and RIP were the only two that saw NBA minutes for UConn.
Khalid got a cup of coffee too. He was the 34th pick, Bulls drafted him one pick after they picked Jake. He made the rookie all-star game and then Bulls released him. Was a star in Europe and made a ton of money.

Whether we are starting a new series or not, whatevs. All I'm saying is Vegas would put that 10 games series in Duke's favor in all likelihood.

College teams are judged on how these NBA players were in college. Not based on how they ended up in the NBA. Thats irrelevant.

True - but it's not as though they weren't a very good college team with very good college players.
