Oakland has a minor league affiliate in the New York Penn League, the Vermont Lake Monsters. This league often has a bunch of players that were just drafted from the college ranks. Vermont plays five games in Norwich against the Connecticut Tigers. I have season tickets to the Tigers, so hopefully we'll get a chance to see Woodworth play if he gets assigned there. The problem is that all these games take place before July 6, so he would have to get assigned there quickly.

To me it is icing on the cake when UConn seniors get taken in the draft. Great to see Woodworth get the opportunity.
