Does anyone know if we can still get tickets to the 4:15 train that makes a direct route to Grand Central?

Metro north trains don't sell out. They will continue to sell tickets until the cows come home. You might not get a seat but you should be able to get on the train, and not on top or hanging out the windows like you see in India.

There is overflow parking but the train is fairly empty this morning so I wouldn't expect it to be a big problem.

I would go to the new West Haven Station. I think parking is $6/day
